Elena, you come up with some really thought-provoking stuff!!

1. What food did you think you would horribly miss after surgery, but now realize you don't?  My salty-crunchy stuff!  Chips, Fritos, popcorn..   I still eat them some, but a TINY amount now satisfies me, rather than GORGING on it!

2. At what weight did you have your first BIG plateau? at about 115 lost.  I never gained, and I DID lose inches, but yeah - it's a drag when that scale sits tight for so long!

3. At what point did you reach the "OMG, this is ACTUALLY going to work" stage?  I'll let you know.

4. What was the best compliment or comment you've received (WLS-related) so far? When a neighbor of ours hollered at Rich - "Hey Smith, what'd you do with the rest of your wife?"

5. If you could name one (only ONE) thing that you love about your new post-op life, what would it be?  Only ONE thing?  Feeling NORMAL in a sea of people, rather than feeling conspicuously GINORMOUS!!!

1.  i thought I would miss eating at buffets and such.  Now I think gross, I really used to eat that much!

2.  Right now I have been sitting at 254 for a week plus and it stinks.  I have upped my activity and it doesn't seem to be helping.  UGH!

3. I have on a size 18 pants right now.  When I started this I was a 24.  My shirt size has gone down 1 size also!

4.  Haven't gotten a ton of compliments yet.  I have only lost 51lbs so I am not sure people are REALLY noticing yet.

5.  Being able to do 40 mintues on the ellipitcal and really actually following thru and doing it.
        I have gained some great friends on this journey!

1. What food did you think you would horribly miss after surgery, but now realize you don't? Big Mac or even just fast food in general.  Now I hate fast food.

2. At what weight did you have your first BIG plateau? 228 I was stuck there for about a month;

3. At what point did you reach the "OMG, this is ACTUALLY going to work" stage?  I think I just recently started to feel like that but the biggest moment will be once I hit onderland.

4. What was the best compliment or comment you've received (WLS-related) so far?  When I saw my mom for the first time after surgery I had lost about 60 lbs and she started to cry

5. If you could name one (only ONE) thing that you love about your new post-op life, what would it be?
Just feeling better about myself
