Wow moment on the Wii Fit

Hi MN friends. Hope you're well.

I recently tried the Wii Fit and wow, what a zesty experience! You get on and it weighs you (it was quite a thrill to hear it shout out my weight and BMI), then it has you do a balance test (I failed 3 out of 5 levels) and finally, it tells you your Wii age (mine was my actual age +24). So needless to say, I got off feeling pretty old and not-so-healthy.

Then I thought, "Well, I paid a lot for this darn thing, I can't quit now!"

So back on I went and within 20 minutes, I was having a blast. I actually tried the running simulator and started crying. I haven't run since the 8th grade (ok, except for once when I was being chased by a strange dog) and wow, it felt so good to actually say, "Yeah, I went running today!"

So I am wondering - have any of you tried the Wii Fit? What did you think?

Warmly,
K.

Hi Kathy!  It's good to hear from you again.

My husband has been looking to find a Wii Fit I believe.  I am still above the max. weight of 330, but I want to use it when I get low enough.  It sounds like fun and it sound like you really had a blast on it.  Keep up with the great work on it - any fun exercise is good exercise!

Hi
I just bought a Wii  for my grandkids when they come here and know nothing about it except I have played a few times.  I have been hearing good things as far as exercise . Again I don't know much about this so could you please tell me is this a program I can buy ? or how does it work?
                                Thank you

I traded in my gym membership for a Wii Fit.  The cost was just a little over the monthly family rate of the YMCA.  I LOVE IT!  It keeps me moving.  In fact, I try to outrun the avatars.  But it always kicks me back a few steps.  At first I felt pretty silly doing the running.  Now I simply don't care.  My three teenage girls use it as well.

Best investment ever!  Absolutely love it!
