definity health/ medica choice ?

anyone with definity health/medica choice network  have problems getting approval for surgery?

I have Medica Choice Select (or Elect) - whatever, their top of the line plan and I had no trouble getting insurance approval.  It came less than 1 week following submission.  According to my surgery center I needed to have 3 consecutive months of nutritional counseling - according to Medica due to my BMI and my high blood pressure co-morbidity I didn't even have to wait that long -but HCMC insisted as I needed to adapt to my new food plan - the waiting was best I now agree.
