Little wow

Sometimes the wows just sneak up on you...the other day, I have no idea why, but I was playing with my wrists and realized that I can wrap my fingers around my wrist now - could not do that before the surgery.

For my 3 month post-op (coming up in about 1 1/2 weeks) I'm going to do all my body measurements again.  I think that the inches lost must be significant - the same day that I noticed my fingers wrapped around my wrist I also realized that I was a very lucky lady that my pants did not fall down - there was so much extra space in the waist and hips that I have no idea why they stayed on.  Time to see what I have in smaller sizes.  Yipee!

I'm noticing these types of things and other happy WLS moments now that I've put my scale away.  That thing was really getting me down.

Those are the most wonderful things about this process -- the little wows. I think sometimes people feel foolish for posting them... but they are SO inspirational!!!

I measure myself monthly and the inch drop is fascinating! You will be very impressed I think!

I agree no wow moment is small. I have not used a scale since surgery, only at the doc's office, isn't it liberating!?!? I know it doesn't work for everyone but I have found it very helpful. Keep the wow's comin'!

WOW!  There are NO little WOW in this process....they are all WOWs!!!!! Big, little, medium....they are all wonderful and exciting!  I'm so happy for you.  Yep...putting the scale away makes a big difference - not focusing on the scale, but on the other things that are happening.

I look forward to hearing more wows from you!

Yup--yup--yup!!  There is NO such thing as a small WOW!!
Keep
bringing them to the board!  We LOVE hearing those WOWs!

And congrats on breaking the scale's hold.  That metal monster can really wreak havoc with our minds--if we let it. Glad that you put yours away!

I love reading your posts.  They are very insightful and well-written.

Have a relaxing Labour Day!
