Feel Like A New Woman
So I am nearly 15 months out from an open RNY, am now down and astounding 150 lbs from my highest weight(from 386 to 236 YAY!), and I must gloat about a few wow moments that have incurred in the last couple of weeks.
I think the biggest one was going to the MN State Fair and being able to walk around and not having to sit down even once!! My only purpose for the fair was to see the Backstreet Boys and OMG they were fabulous!! I had scored 26th row on the floor back in freaking APRIL, so this was a long time coming.
Second wow came yesterday(Thursday). My great aunt passed on 8.24 at the age of 93, and Thursday was the funeral up north(about 45 minutes northwest of Mille Lacs lake). Mom's cousins were all there, and I hadn't seen any of them in a good year, if not longer. I got compliments up, down, and around the town! It was so nice. Also got compliments on the new blond highlights I got a week and a half ago.
This is OT but my niece turns one on September 17th!! It seems like just yesterday she was born. Instead of crawling, she's gotten into scooting to get where she needs to and it is just the cutest damn thing. SHE is the cutest damn thing.
So YES, my tool is working and I'm working my tool. Had dropped 3 lbs in a week, so my "honeymoon phase" isn't over yet. I LOVE MY RNY!

Congrats on a great sucess! It's nice to hear someone love this life changing surgery as much as I do. Congrats on the 150lbs.

I'll have to find and figure out how to use Mom's digital camera when they come back on Tuesday... or, if I can get in the right light, I'll use my camera phone.
And I can get a pic with Hannah when we go to her birthday party 2 weeks from tomorrow. Which means I get to go shopping--YAY!
