2 week out appointment

Greetings!

Yesterday (Wednesday) I went in for my 2 week check up and seen the NUT.

Doctors part- He said I am doing good and to keep up the work. I am down 20 pounds since pre-op (July 27) and said the first couple months will be slow and then I should see some big changes. He goals me out at 150 pounds. Says I have 80 more to go. I guess I didn't even think about how boarder line I was to get approved for the surgery, had I not had co-morbs to have gotten approved so fast.

NUT- She was very impressed with my menus and charting, I kept telling her that I am so OCD it isn't funny, she just kept shaking her head in disbelief I guess LOL.
The only thing she said I could do is bump up my proteins by 10g. I should be able to do that seeing as she also has extended my foods to include almost everything. I gave her a couple of hints to things that she wrote down and was going to look up LOL

All in all I am doing ok.
My SO said to me this morning that since surgery I have not snored, they must of fixed that button too LOL. I told him that maybe it is because I am using two pillows now vs the one. He said my breathing isn't hard when I am sleeping either. Now, to help people understand this little ditty, He would wait for me to fall asleep so he could change the TV channel to something HE likes LOL I would wake up and yell at him. Now that I am not breathing as hard or sleeping he has no clue if I am slee*****t LMAO!

I told him "I guess I am now your silent partner" LOL

Everyone enjoy the day

I WISH I had a few OCD-like tendencies, but I am the OPPOSITE of OCD!!!

As for the snoring?  Yeah, mine went away within 2 weeks of surgery, too!  And having been a side-sleeper since about month 3 of my first pregnancy 16 years ago, I was suddenly able to sleep for extended periods on my BACK!!!

May not SEEM like a big deal, but even before pregnancy made me a side sleeper, I was a stomach sleeper!  So the whole sleeping on my back deal is pretty cool!!!

Congrats, and may the WOW's begin!!!

LOL- OCD is aweful at times. When we go camping or such I make a list, then I make a list of the list.. Oh it is never ending LOL

Have not slept on my tummy in many yrs, I used to be more of a side/tummy sleeper if that sounds right. Sleeping on my back has been a bit easier,my back (degenerated disc diease),seems to already be less painful and rolling over is getting easier too, so I guess those are small wow's LOL

Thanks for your comments!

Kelly....you are doing just great....congratulations!!!

I am a bit OCD when it comes to my food journal too. But hey...I am feeling wonderful and it hasn't consumed my life so all is good. The journaling really helps to keep me in line.

Thanks Connie,
I wish the OCD stopped at just the menus. It is in every aspect of my life. It is enough to drive the sane persons insane and the insane, sane LOL
