I havta say....
You mean getting a job in a hospital as a social worker, or just getting a job in a hospital? I don't have enough experience as a SW (medical or clinical) to qualify to work in hospitals. Definitely a 'catch 22'--I can't
practice in a hospital because I don't have the qualifications, and I don't have the qualifications because I can't work in a hospital.
My damaged arm puts limitations on what I can do physically, and up
here, getting jobs in city or other government is pretty much who-you-know based. So I haven't attempted to get hospital jobs up here.
Why?? Do you know a good hospital job????

Hi Connie~
Have I told you lately that I love you?
Galen is usually a happy kid--but in the picture he was stuck in a car seat at the start of a 12 hour ride--from Ottawa, Ont. to Detroit where they were visiting friends of his momma (and my daughter) Cate.
He's one of these kids with a shriek that can shatter glass...
I sure do appreciate the prayers! It's funny--or maybe it's just plain sad--what a relief it is to have even a part-time job that will pay the rent. A perk of the job is a 10% employee discount of goods. Maybe this is part of The Plan? To be grateful for ALL things??
Have a great day, Connie, my friend, and prayers are going out for your family!

Thank you, Amy, for that wonderful cyber hug!
I am trying to keep the faith.
I gotta believe that this whole business of getting injured in my job as courier and subsequently having WCB put me through 5 years of university was part of a bigger picture than I could possibly think of.
I always did say--only half jokingly--that God had to get my attention with a well-aimed brick!
