OT...EBAY

Have a quick question, I was bidding on something and didn't think I would win because I was bidding against someone else that really wanted the item, so I went and found the same item and started bidding on it also, well I won BOTH! I really didn't want or need both. So what can I do? I sent an email to the second one letting her know what happened but haven't heard back yet. Is there anyway to get of this transaction? It's not tons of money but a lot since I have to pay for another one already.

Oh boy! Well, being a veteran Ebayer with 800 some sales and purchases, I have to say I think you're SOL. You could try emailing both of the sellers and ask if maybe you could pay their fees so they could relist it. They might go for that, but don't expect to get off without something paid to them.



In the future, use a snipe tool so you can win without having to be at the computer at the time the auction ends. Plus bidding like mad or against someone back and forth only drives up the final cost. I like www.auctionsteeler.com , I think you can do 2-3 FREE auctions per month. I signed up for the service where you pay a fee, and it bids for you closer to the end date than the free one does. Hopefully one of the sellers will be understanding and let you out of the transaction. If not, you could always re-sell the 2nd one yourself on ebay. Good luck!

I contacted the selling and she was so understanding and said it was no problem, so I don't have to pay for the item. This was a learning lesson and DH and I have to talk more when we know we are looking for things on ebay so this won't happen again.
