Welcome to the MN board. This is a great place for support! I also am a bander as of this past Thursday. Elena's blog is has real good info and the lapband forum is also good. It only took 3 weeks for my date from approval to surgery date. Good luck!!

Welcome to the MN board, Kristina!  I just had RNY last Monday and the support I have received from people near and far has been so wonderful!  I have to echo the thoughts about your local coffee group.  I have met so many great people and am so glad that there are people to visit with who are going through or have been where you are.  It is really inspiring!  Welcome to you!  By the way, I LOVE your part of Minnesota.  Have to love the Frank Lloyd Wright gas station in Cloquet!

Welcome to the board Kristina! I have the band too - coming up on my 2-year anniversery in Ocotober. You sure have proven your dedication to the whole idea of WLS with your long pre-op time. Hope it doesn't take too long for a surgery date! Keep us posted. Jean B.
