OT: An unfortunate roadtrip in store

On Monday one of my closest friends passed away.  He and his wife (and two kids) are from Oklahoma but he was working for Target so they have lived in Champlin since January.  The funeral is in Oklahoma on Saturday so I'm going to be driving down there...leaving after spending a few hours at the FAIR on Friday  It's a very sad time for his family and friends...I wish I could join in on the KIPS party because as I've mentioned here many times, I have a very soft spot for Irish Pubs and music...as well as a very soft spot for the friends that will be gathering there.  But my softest spot is reserved now for my friend, his wife, kids, and all the others who will be making there way to OK from all over the country...he was very well liked, and I cannot tell you in words what he meant to me.

Paul, I know your attending his Casey's service will mean a great deal to his family, even if they aren't able to express it then and there.  You are such a good friend to be doing the things you are doing for them, I wish I could have helped...
