OT and EMBARASSING!
I have a pair of Skechers sandals, leather, that I absolutely LOVE! Been wearing them all summer, they are some of the most comfy shoes I've ever worn!
But today?
Mama Mia, they be stinky! It's like the evil Shoe Witch dumped some stinky stuff on 'em overnight, and WOW!
So my REASON for posting this is.... does ANYONE have any magic cures for stinky leather sandals????

I googled the problem and got this for an answer. I KNOW BAKING SODE DOES WORK, and maybe even the coffee grounds. Goodluck, Sweetie!
Sunning may work wonders. Also, they say that acid (like vinegar) will neutralize the smell. OTOH, they say baking soda will also neutralize the smell.
Take a couple of old socks, fill them with baking soda, and tie them off. (You could also try dry coffee grounds or dry tea leaves.) Sun your shoes if you can after every use, and then store them with the soda socks in your sandals to absorb any other odors. DO NOT wear your sandals two days in a row. If you want to wear them everyday, you should buy two pairs of sandals, and alternate days.
Before you put your sandals on, be sure you have clean, fresh feet. Give 'em a vinegar bath, and dab on some tea tree oil or lavender oil (test first to make sure you aren't sensitive to them, but generally, they are very mild oils). And during the day, you can wipe your feet with a wet-wipe or other wet tissue. If you have athelete's foot, there are things you can do to clear up that problem. That often causes a lot of stink.
Hope that helps! I have had smelly feet too, but it seems to be not so bad these days.

Soap and water?
It works for me... tho leather may have an issue.

Ooh.... a supplier! Pm'ing you, Dana...
I DID douse the suckers good in baking soda and set them out on the deck in the sunshine as soon as I got home yesterday (no socks, just doused 'em...) They DO seem a bit better today, THANK HEAVENS!!!
I had a similar pair of leather sandals several years ago... they got so bad it was just awful! I nearly had to throw them overboard while on a cruise, but I couldn't do that to the poor, innocent sea creatures below. And I really don't have FOOT odor, but the leather seems to hang on to any moisture or oils, incubate them and BAM!

Wanna know what I REALLy think?? (Yeah baby--I do think every once in a while!))

I thinks it a communist plot by the Chinese to get people to buy MORE made-in-China footware!
Notice that your sandals did not start to stink right away? It was after you had broken them in, got them reaalll nice and comfy? Well, those sandals are programmed to become unbearably pungent after a certain length of time--after you've grown to love them! There really is no solution to end the stink problem--so you'll end up buying another pair in hopes of replicating the extreme comfort you had with that first pair.
This is my own theory and no one else's. No one has paid me to make such an unorthodox statement, and I am agent for no one--not the baking soda people, nor the foot deodorant people, nor the shoe manufacturer. I will sign a document stating such. I am past due for my visit to the insane asylum. If I am not there by Saturday, they will come after me with ray guns.
THEY KNOW that I've got it all figgered out and WILL come after me.... help.....help..........................help
