anyone battling arthritis?

I have had osteoarthritis in my left leg since the first of eleven surgeries to remove a benign bone tumor 10 years ago. But now my right leg has been very stiff and just all-around aches. I have an appointment with the orthopedist a week from today, but I was wondering what I could do to help alleviate the pain in the meantime?

And I think what exacerbated the pain in the right knee was when I schmucked it good on the underside of a counter top at work not once, but twice. I hate having long legs

Now I go to bed. Worked the graveyard and my brain feels like it's finally turning off for the night lol.

Heat ususally works well- try applying heat before beginning activity. A warm shower or bath first thing in the morning may help with the stiffness and ease some aches. After activity, sometimes ice helps, too.

I have arthritis from sprains and twists and other stuff from working as a courier here in Thunder Bay for 13 years before a freak accident sidelined me for good from that job.  (Run-on sentence, anyone?)  Anyway, I take Celebrex (with a Prevacid chaser to protect my stomach) and I have no tummy troubles and NO JOINT pain.

Don't know if that'd help you, but it's my story and I'm sticking to it!
