Has anyone had Liposuction after WLS?

Just curious if anyone has had Liposuction after WLS and were you happy with the results? How long before you saw the results? How long was there swelling? Any info you can give me would be appreciative.....What was the cost?

I'm considering this once I'm a year out......As a gift to myself for all the Wow's and hard work......It seems like everything has gone south......And my tummy just doesn't go down....And my inner thighs are terrible.......

Kelly...I think you look awesome. If you have extra fat in those areas you must be hiding it well because I can't see it!!

Isn't Patti having plastics and Lipo too?? I have a friend that had Lipo about 4 yerars ago and said she would never do that to her body again. She said the pain and healing wasn't worth it. But then that is her opinion.

I did have some lipo done with my plastic surgery - I honestly couldn't tell you about the pain factor as I would have no clue how to seprate out what was pain from my PS and what was pain from the lipo.  I can tell you though I have had two c sections and a few other operations and I have never been in so much pain as I was in with my PS.  Even with that said I would do it again.  If you are interested in seeing my before and after pictures from my plastic surgery let me know I will PM you the link to them.

I'm considering PS for my batwings, thighs, tummy..........But really can't afford it. My one Dr. thinks I should do my arms, just cause you see them.....For now I figured Lipo....

I havent had weight loss surgery yet but I had a tummy tuck and lipo after a large weight loss from a thyroid problem. I had surgery on a thursday, walked out of the center that day on my own all bandaged up and doped up with tubes hanging out all over...lol. I went back to work on Monday. They removed 20 lbs of excess skin and 500cc (1/2 lb) from each batwing and lipo all over my midsection. There was more discomfort than pain. The most painful was when they removed the drainage tubes. I think its a mind over matter thing!! I had a close friend do the inner thighs and batwings and had problems with the wounds opening up and she said that was painful recovery. I can tell you I have no regrets except that I didnt have the full brachioplasty as my arm flab is still huge. My tummy, even though I am very large is pretty flat and tight and boy was that a huge boost to the self esteme!! Cost was abt $16k. They have many financing options. Hope that helps.

There is a Brazilian plastic surgeon coming to the US this fall. Dr. Kuster.
You may want to do research on that. I know of a few locally that are going to consult with him when he's here.
