Do you ever get that awful metallic taste in your mouth???
I was online researching how to get rid of the awful taste I seem to always have in my mouth and found this info which I thought was interesting and also made me thankful for the horrible taste.
"Ketosis is a chemical condition where your body produces excess ketones through the process of burning its fat stores. While you are in ketosis, your body burns stored fat to obtain its immediate energy needs rather than constantly demanding that you eat more carbohydrates. When you are in ketosis, many of your body’s physical cravings were less demanding than they were when you were in a "normal" metabolic state. That metallic taste is one of the main indicators that you’re in a state of ketosis. The taste isn’t pleasant, but the weight-loss effects certainly are! "

I am 3 years out and I still have problems with this, although not as bad as it was when I was in ketosis in the beginning. I keep looking for an answer and all I can come up with is I drink a lot of coffee (?) I would love to find a cure for this. My BF swears my breath isn't offensive so its just the taste thats bothersome. YUK. Someone told me that mercury fillings can cause this but I checked with my dentist and my two fillings are mercury free.
