Ok... there are a few things that could cause that. 1. that time of month. 2. dehydration. 3. blood clot (but unlikely as it's both legs; but if you have pain or redness see your doc). 4. CHF (congestive heart failure). I am thinking it's more likely dehydration. BUT, if it continues you NEED to see your doctor. I hope you figure this out.

Hugs,

Lori,

Thanks for posting......I'm thinking it's a little of Dehydration & that time of the month.

I'm trying to drink more today and see what happens. I'm sooo tired of having my monthly 2 or more times a month, uhhhh.....But that shouldn't be a problem after the 28th of this month. I have an ablation surgery scheduled........

Hey Kelly, with my water-swelling epidode from May to mid-June, I'd suggest consulting with your PCP now if you haven't already done so.  I'd posted the experience, and repeat:  per my PCP and gynocologist, the idiosynyncric edema is a very  common hormonal-related 'thing' with women in their 40s. Having been on prescribed Lasix nearly two months, the swelling has completely subsided and am loving waring size six petites--very comfortably, compared to a monh of snug tens and eights!  IMHO, I'd definitely check with your doctor ASAP before getting OTC diuretics, due to a number of medical causes and ramifications.  So I go forward with my twelve-month refills, taking three to four Lasix daily--and the imperative potassium supplement .  Ah, the joys of peri-menopause (which can begin in the low 30s), and menopause itself....Wishing you relief, peace of mind, and smooth sailing throughout this female 'stuff'.  Oceans of love and hugs galore, Patti

Patti,

Thanks.....I need to make a Pre-op physical anyway, so will talk to the Doctor then about the retention......I did notice it being worse with doing more activities. Ya, the joy of Peri-menopause..........
