Jump up and weigh-in
Hi Troy and everyone else....
I'm new to the MN board but need some support to get back on track. My highest was 315, I was 304 the day of surgery and my lowest has been about 164. I'm at 187 today and it makes me want to hide under the covers! I'm so mad at myself for letting things get to this point and the scale doesn't seem to be moving even though I've been hitting the gym 3x a week for the past month or so. My big vice has been pop. I've never been a water drinker so that's another part I struggle with. I'm fine with the vitamins and such as I take them with my other medications before bed. I long for the days where it was fun getting dressed in the morning because I had so many cute options to chose from. Now I dread it because nothing fits me. :-(
The most frustrating part of this whole situation is that I know the rules of WLS. Protein first, lots of water, little carbs, don't drink your calories, etc.... but does that stop me from eating the yummy carbs, pop, and chocolate? NOPE. UGH I get so frustrated with myself sometimes. I'm over 4 years post-op I seriously can see how some people can gain all their weight back. Its a lot harder now to keep it off than it used to be.
Congrats to everyone on their jouneys.
