A picnic & some fun at the park (pic inside)

We had a picnic to go to today for my hubby's work and it turned out to be a fun day. After that was over, there was a nice park to play at on the same grounds and so we let the boys play for a while and as I was snapping pics, I asked hubby to take one of me while I tried the log roller. Man, did we laugh, but he tried it too and we had fun!

But boy did this picture seal the deal for me - not like I have't already made up my mind to have surgery but every time I see (below pic) it is confirmed all over again. UGH with a capital U!

Always good to have those photos around when you get scared to go into it... hehe  By the way, love the new avatar photo!!

And, thank you - that's my 6 y.o. showing his goofy side as we waited in line at the Star Wars exhibit this weekend.

Looks like you had a great time.  I admire that you got out there and tried the log roller.  Whatever you have decided it's good that you continue to live life and enjoy it.

It was fun and the roars of laughter from me & hubby was what I can still hear in my head even this morning. I've never wanted my boys to find me jus****ching, I've always played as much as I can with them at the park but it has gotten harder the past few years and I do take more breaks. We are all looking forward to the years to come when I can outlast them!

You know, I actually learned to take more pictures of me pre-op from a very wise person - I just don't remember which board or who it was. But she said she didn't hardly have any pre-op pictures to do comparisons with and she really wished she had. She had a lot of great suggestions on pictures to take and I've really taken her advice to heart. I didn't have many pre-op current one's either so even though I hate to look at them, it's where I'm at going into surgery and one day looking back, I'll be glad I have them.

YAY YOU for PLAYING!!!  For not letting your weight get in the way of living your LIFE!! 

Now... if you & I ever find ourselves up on the Gunflint together, and out on a REAL log in the WATER, YOU'RE ON, BABY!!!  (I can DO the real logs - but ONLY because it's WATER you land in when you fall!  Not a hard surface!!!)
