Anybody else cold???
One of the worst parts of being MO was how much I sweat. I think my 'end of the line' was last summer, in August when I had to work a name tag table at a function outside on the hottest, most humid day of the year. The sweat just dripped off of me. My daughter said it looked like I had just gotten out of the shower. I was so embarrassed. Well, this summer I bought a bunch of cute camisoles and I haven't been able to wear one but maybe once or twice. I'm always cold. What is this winter going to be like???
Also, lately my knees have been touching ~ an odd feeling. I had to introduce my right knee to my left knee. They've never met before

I think that's a WOW moment! You're too funny but I know what you mean. I just finally broke a sweat yesterday hauling mulch and working in the sun. It was a wonderful thing. I too am always cold. I have a blanket in hubby's car that I wrap up in cause he has the AC on high. Last year I couldn't get it cold enough now I have my own internal AC. Now I pray for a Hot Flash to warm me up!
You are just burning the pounds off Sandy. I haven't seen you for a while so it will be fun to see you again at coffee. I am so grateful to you for the suggestion of the Calcium Citrate powder. It has been a lifesaver for me!!!! Thanks again and congrats on the WOW moment.
Hugs,
Bonnie

I'm not perfect but I am going to die trying!!!
I am frickin freezing! Everybody I know (except all my surgery buds), think I have lost my mind. My sister pointed out that I was always running cooler than everybody else, but they suffer so much when they around me now. I've started looking at long underwear. Some of my coworkers tease me cause I have a little space heater going, and wear sweaters, while they run around in the air conditioning and tell me it's hot in there. People used to think I was crazy before cause I loved those hot, humid days. It's much, much worse now that I'm cold when it's 75/80 degrees out. You know how a "normal" body temp is 98.6? I understand that that's an average norm, but do you think that those of us whose norm is lower, do get colder? Mine usually runs 96.8. That would explain why I was not a huge sweater before surgery, and why (I think) it's so much worse now. A question I'll have to write down for my 9 month appt.
Darla always tells me to be ready for the cold!! I usually don't even wear coats in the winter -- just sweaters....lol.... but lately I have been getting cold and cold... brr
Hey Sandy! Thank you for the trek
down memory lane! First time I'd even felt the knee bones touching (in bed), was SO bizarre
! What a wild ride, huh?! My first WOW
was six weeks out, had an itch on one shoulder, and was amazed to actually feel the bone! I did go through a 'feel cold'
phase about six months out, which lasted til about eighteen months out. Had dressed in layers year 'round just to cover the bases! Prior to surgery, my body thermostat was set so low--was always so hot,
even in winter. Now, it's leveled off, and and even at 52 yrs, six months young
, don't even have night sweats, nor get chilled--afreakin'mazing this ride has been, is, and will continue to be!
(At two years and three weeks out, have still been surprised by WOWs! What a ride!?!!! Enjoy the reunion of the knees--just wait 'til you don't feel your thighs touching the other when you
walk! Keep up what you're doing
; it's definitely
working well for you!
Hugs, Patti

Whew....glad to hear I'm not the only one. I hope it levels out some time. All these little discoveries that could be taken for granted...I so appreciate. I stood with my hands on my hips the other day....and I could feel my hip bones...wow.
