I am so glad to hear that your sister is getting the help she needs!  I hope that YOU are taking care of yourself as well!  We have to be strong and healthy ourselves in order to help those around us!

Carol- I'm glad your sister is getting the medical attention she needs. Depression can be really tough, and it sounds like she's got additional stuggles on the medical side. I'm just glad she's in a safe place with caring professionals now.

I am a long-time lurker, but just wanted to join the others in saying this is good news!  I have a brother who suffers from mental illness and is for the most part untreated....refuses to seek help and when help presents itself (jail/ court ordered hospitalization) he won't embrace it.  I am glad to hear your sister was found safe and is in good hands and has a family that supports her!
