Thank you, Thank you!   I have always known if I follow the program it will work!  Sometimes I get all foggy and need reminders of what the program is even though I know it inside and out!
Thanks for the food ideas.  Those are two things I have never tried.  :O)

Hello Lisa Joy.....
I agree, change up your menu some. Our bodies get in a rut sometimes. Remember protein first....always. The denser the protein the better.

I still, at almost 1 year out do not eat bread, rice or pasta. I have definately learned new eating habits. I really focus on the protein, veggies and fruit. I am not saying my way is the right way, it is just right for me.

Have you tried a pork tenderloin yet?? I could never eat por****il I made this. I uasually just put it in the crockpot and cook it slowly. It is so juicy and yummy. I make stir fry quite often too...you can use any meat in that. I have been using alot more turkey lately. Nice change fron chicken.

You will start dropping pounds again soon. hang in there. You look like you have lost alot more weight then that!

Hugs, connie d

I make pork chops all the time.  I will try your idea.  It is true the denser the meat the more it stays with me.  I love stir fry but never do that as it seems to require time.  I will do it though...sounds yummy!    Thanks so much..........I really appreciate the help!

Lisa-  My weight loss slowed down around then too!  In June I didn't lose any!  Then all of a sudden July came around and I lost 14 lbs in 2 weeks.  Don't worry it will start moving again!

I sure hope this doesn't come across wrong, but it thrills me to hear you did not lose any lbs in june and then 14 in JULY!    THAT is very motivating for me.  I will hang in there........it just gets so frustrating some times!   The big picture, the big picture...that is what matters.    Thanks so much for sharing that info. with me!

I hear you Lisa with the weight loss slowing down......Just stick with the program and it will come off...I am in the same boat as you, but all of a sudden last week I lost 3 pounds....But I had some other issues to deal with to.

I just wanted to share a new form food I found!! They are Fahita chicken strips. you getthem inthe frozen food section and just microwave what you want for a meal. 3-4 oz is like 20 grams pf protein. I LOVE them because they are already seasoned and ready for anything. You can eat them alone with a dipping sauce if you want or put them in a salad, YUMMY!!! The brand I got is Food Club and they are very good!!!! Its like a 3 pound bag, so its gonna last a while.

Good Luck and you are doing a great job and look fantastic!!!

Hey sweet cheeks -

My suggestion?  Keep looking for the positive - you are DOWN 13 pounds!  That's great!

You are maintaining your support by attending coffees and participating on OH - that can only be good, because it shows you are staying dedicated to your goal!

You ARE a smaller person to begin with, so your loss WILL be slower - if you kept up with those of us who started this journey 300# +, you'd be sicker than a dog!  The IMPORTANT THING is that you are losing - slow and steady wins the race!

I have held on through a couple of LONG non-losing streaks.  Discouraging?  OF COURSE IT IS!  But only to the extent you let it be - if you recognize that your body needs periods of time to adjust to the new, smaller you, it's easier to keep on keepin' on.  I couldn't drop below 230 for EVAH!  This morning?  FINALLY!!!  229!!!   We have to celebrate every little victory on our way to winning the war against obesity.  DO NOT allow yourself to get discouraged to the extent you give up!  NO ONE has to fail with WLS.  The changes you are making in your relationship with food will benefit you for the rest of your life!  And so far as I know, there is no deadline for reaching your goal weight.  Just keep taking steps in the right direction, and you will get there!
ME TOO!!!
