It is all happening!

I have read post after post over time here about all the changes your body goes through, even prior to surgery. I have thought all along ok, so my body is odd, Iam not having any of this or that.

Yesterday it hit me!

I am on day 6 of the liquid diet prior to surgery.  I have never been a person who is hungry all the time, I keep a consistant level.  Yesterday for the first time in maybe yrs..my tummy started to growl- so my growler isnt broken after all!

My body is usually always in some kind of ache or pain,it is part of life.  Last eve my right hip or a tad lower seems to be out of whack. This really means that my back is out of whack as usual and I need to get into my special chair more often then lately. Damn degenerated discs.

So, that brings me to the next thing- I go to bed last night and my SO says (who never says anything) You need to start feeling better! your to cranky! Laughs I knew I was feeling cranky but didn't know it was showing outside my skin. I tell him I will try and just not to talk to me anymore, that will solve everything. I meant that as the biggest haha joke and he gets all huffy and says thats not what I mean. I then choose to shut up cuz I knew my lips were not gonna let anything nice come out in the form of words.

I have had yucky/scarey dreams of odd things wake up crying ...The list is never ending.

So, while I suffer this liquid diet.  The changes in mind and body are happening and you can't control it. I now know what everyone was talking about! LOL this to shall pass

Kelly,

I feel for you.  I'm laughing and sympathizing at the same time because I completely understand what you're going through.

As you lose fat, the hormones that are stored in it are also released.  The result is you end up being cranky, weepy, and on a pretty constant PMS-type state.  Some days it is so bad I can't even stand to be around myself.  I feel so bad for my husband.  When it gets bad though I remind myself it is a side-effect of something that I want (and need) very much.  It does pass and not every day is like that.

And, yes, it is an amazing feeling to have the sensation of stomach hunger again.  A few months ago I never wanted to feel stomach hunger...I would have thought it a bad thing to not be constantly satiated at a minimum.  Now I can clearly tell the difference between stomach hunger and head hunger.

Enjoy all of the changes in your body as much as possible and great job on your liquid diet so far!
