This has already been booted to the second page so I thought I would put it out again. There was a lot of interest, so basically this is what is planned....
For those who are able to get off work on August 15th, come spend the day at ValleyFair with us...For those who must work, hook up with us later in the evening. This will be a great day of fun from start to finish...hopefully you can come. Here is the agenda:
Part 1 - - Meet at SW Station Caribou at around 9 for a day starter
Part 2 - - Carpool to Valley Fair, at 9:30. Those who are not driving can leave their car parked in the ramp. It is free to park there. I can take 5 riders with me. If there are more than five, someone else can also drive. It's 10 bucks for each vehicle. You can purchase your ticket at the door, but if you don't have a coupon it's about 36 bucks. CUB Foods sells them at their service counter for 7 dollars off. Check with your employer, they may have a better deal. You can bring a picnic lunch in a cooler and leave it in the car, or you can eat in the park. It's up to you.
Part 3 - - Leave Valley Fair at 6PM. Get back to SW Station at about 6:20/6:30. Decide where to eat, but for those joining us at this point there will be a cell number to call to find out where. Options galore...Culvers, Ruby Tuesday, Chipolte, Noodle, and there are a couple others right at the SW station.
Part 4 - - Movie time at Purgatory Creek Park...you can drive your car over there(you will want to get it out of the ramp). The movie will start at dusk, generally speaking about 8:30. (Movie: Liar Liar). It's not on a real big screen, but decent enough. Bring a lawn chair (you can also bring a blanket to lay on, but from my experience the ground can be a bit wet. Bring some bug spray, bring some wine, sweatshirts, whatever you think you might need.
Part 5 -- Finish off at Brunswick Zone, which is just down the street from the park...almost walking distance. We should be there by 10:30, or earlier if you don't go to the movie or decide to leave the movie early. Here we shoot pool, bowl, throw darts, play video games, have something to drink, eat if you want, or just hang out...or Karoake if that's your deal.
Part 6 - - Head home or to hotel on your own...drive safely.
So join in on it all or just pick up at whatever point you can.
See you on the 15th.......
PM ME or DARLA with your email if you would like a map sent to you.
BTW, there is a public restroom at Purgatory Creek Park...it's not a portopotty...it is actually nice. So if you needed a place to change clothes after valleyfair...you have a good option.

I'm very much game for this!!
Can't vouch for anything here, except I use HOTELS.COM almost every time I travel, and that's a lot. It's by far my favorite place to get a room.
Are you looking to stay more than 1 night?
BTW, there is another movie on SATURDAY the 16th....RETURN OF THE JEDI. I am also working that one, but I don't think I'll be going out before or after. But that won't keep anyone else from doing it. For those who just can't get enough bugs the first night....knock yourself out and come to that one too.
