COME ONE, COME ALL!!!
We’ve been talking about getting a group of us LOSERS together at Valleyfair for quite some time now! So after my post about making the movie Liar Liar an event, me & the Caveman have been discussing making it a full-day/evening event!
Here’s the idea. Make it a series of events, strung together on one day. People can come for any or all of it! The date is August 15th. (I know, that’s a Friday, but that’s the date of the movie anyway – so let’s not debate that part, okay?)
Part 1... Meet at Caribou at the Southwest Station for Coffee – say, 9am?
Part 2... Car Pool to VF from coffee. This will help reduce parking costs (I believe it’s $10 per car at VF). Stay at the park all day, ride ‘til we’re SILLY, and leave around 6:30.
Part 3… Have a nice dinner at Ruby Tuesdays or Old Chicago. (Hit the liquor store if desired.)
Part 4… Head to Purgatory Park for the evening entertainment, Liar Liar, presented by our very own PAUL (aka CAVEMAN!!!).
(I'll pull thisif you make me...)
Part 5… Hit the Brunswick Zone like we did last year – bowl, laugh, shoot pool, however the spirit moves us! (was there not a bit of karaoke happening last year? I seem to recall singing out loud…VERY loud. Like there was a microphone in my hand or something… Paul? Lori? Laurie? Anyone???)
Part 6… Head home, or to a hotel.
Pick your parts, or pick it all. Yes, it would be worth a day off of work! Yes, it would be worth coming down from St. Cloud, Wisconsin, Duluth, etc...! IF you take the hotel option, then whoever road trips can partake in some shopping on Saturday. (MOA, Eden Prairie Center, Southdale – whatever!) If you can’t join in for parts 1 & 2, then join up for Part 3, 4 and/or 5! Cool eh?
I have to give Paul all the credit for this plan – it’s quite brilliant, really!
So – who’s in? I’ve already decided to take the day off!!!

Imperfect does not = unsuccessful
