The Best Support System EVER! And my new Avatar!
To My Dear Friend Kelly, and all of my friends on this site:
This year has brought me many, many WOW moments. From the time I lost my first 10 lbs. To the time I finally weighed less than 200 lbs, the first time I wore a single digit size, and many, many more. But what has been given to me is far beyond anything I could have ever imagined. It brought new friends into my life.
We have our ups and downs. Whether it be on the scale or in our heads. We struggle with our changing bodies and our changing minds. One year ago I would have never imagined I am where I am today. I hit my goal of 150 lbs today. I am wearing a size 8, but almost to a size 6 (and I did fit into a size 4 jean skirt today!). My attitude has changed. My relationship with my family has changed (for the good). I'm more confident with myself every day. And none of this would have been possible if not for the support of everyone here. Whether I've gotten a chance to get to know you well enough to travel with you; whether I've corresponded with you via email or phone. If I'm just getting to know you now. Every person that I have been introduced to has brought great joy to my life. And I wanted to make a point and tell you!
And, I want to say a few words about my friend "the other Kelly". I could not have asked for a better friend to share my crazy moments with - like the first time we both squeezed into our size 8s at Wallmart and calling on the cell phone while there. You've cheered me up when I've been down. You've gone out of your way to help others who are struggling. I have seen you blossom from a rather shy lady who is a bit unsure of herself, to a confident, beautiful woman who blesses others with your support on this journey. Kelly, THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO! I feel honored to call you friend.
Ok, so with that - I post the new Kelly's picture (from Maple Grove coffee last week).
Friends for life!!!!
Kelly (aka KellyAnn and the future Mrs Gordon Ramsay) (no, I'm not REALLY going to marry him. Its just a dream of mine that I keep thinking about - someday!!!)

KellyAnn,
You have me all teared up again........Wow......Thank You so much for all the kind words on here and on your PM. ..........We have shared so much together.....And have become friends for life is right........
You need to take some credit for our relationship too....You have been there for me through it all, good and bad.......You have been such a postive person in my life, and have supported me like no other.....I don't think I'd be where I'm at without you.....I remember the day we became accountability partners making sure each of us were taking our vitamins, and following the rules, etc. That day was truely the start to a lifetime friendship......I was shy......And was so honored to be your partner in this journey......Look at us now.........We wear the same size, are close in weight by a few pounds, and both feel pretty good about what we have accomplished....Who would of thunk...........
Congrats on the 150 pounds, I new you'd get there........Your going to pass me by pretty soon...
Keep us posted on your (late)
6th month appt.
I have a picture of us on my profile too, that someone took with my camera.
Again, Thanks for all the kind words......I'm so humbled.....
Love ya, Kelly

Kelly,
Well said, the friends we have all made because of this website are overwhelming. It's so wonderful to go through one of the toughest parts of our lives with so many beautiful women that understand what we're going through.
I agree with the "other Kelly" you too have contributed greatly to many on this board including me personally and for that I thank you.
I also have to commend you on your transformation - I remember the first time I met you at BV coffee - you were a bit reserved, dressed in jeans and a t-shirt and then whan I saw you at Lucy & Randall's shower I was blown away by who you had become. There you were in a cutsie little girlie dress - with a smile from ear to ear. What a difference a few months make!
We have all been blessed with this wonderful gift of WLS - Praise the Lord!
Love you girlie and hope to see you soon!
Take care,
Tracy
