Sonic???

We're heading through the cities on Thursday.   My husband and son would just LOVE to stop at Sonic.   I know there was one open near St Paul or in that area.    We drove by a month ago but it was soooo busy I didn't want to wait an hour to get in.   Does anyone know if it's gotten any better?   Or is there another one anywhere?   We'll probably go there 2 ish or so.   We're first spending some time at the Science Museum so it'll be after that.   Also hoping if Sadie has a full tummy she'll sleep for the last leg of the trip.

Last Monday I drove past there (to go grocery shopping at the Byerly's accross the street) at around 4:30 or 5:00pm.  Business was steady, but there were spots available immediately for a few cars.  When I got done shopping at 6pm I noticed that there was some security guards outside that were directing interested patrons into the parking lot - so there still appeared to be immediate parking, but they were anticipating a larger crowd.  In a parking lot across the street they had signage that said "Form 2 lines for Sonic" so I anticipate that there are still some VERY crowded times.  However, my guess, based on what I saw last Monday, is that if you went at 2pm in the afternoon on a weekday that you would be able to get in with little or no waiting.

Have a great time and let us know if it is worth all of the hype!

I am guessing that you won't have any problems........we went I think on a Thur also - we did have to drive around to wait "in line" but it was at tops 10-15 mins.  I would imagine at around 2pm you would be after lunch but before dinner and should be able to get right in.  Make sure to have a diet cherry lime aid for me. :)

Thanks Jenn....that's exactly what I am waiting for.   My sister says they are great.   We went to one out in Nebraska this spring but I never did get one of those.   My hubby and son were sooooo excited that there was now one in MN.     How are you and the kids doing?   Can't believe our girls are almost 2 already.

They are AWESOME - my mom was in love with them so as soon as I heard they opened in St Paul I had to go have one for her....brought tears to my eyes drinking it - was bitter sweet to say the least.  It is so crazy that the girls are almost two.....growing WAY too fast.  Miss Bella has quite the personality soooooo different from Jordan.  We are all doing well though - moving on Sept 1st and job hunting so tons of stress but we will make it  - really there is no other option.   Have fun at the Science Museum and at Sonic - another one is opening in Elk River which is much closer to me - only about 10 mins - wishin they would hurry up and open already - drove past the other day and it looks like it is close. :)

We've been to one when we went out to Nebraska this spring.   Personally I didn't think what I had was as great as it's hyped up to be.   My son and husband on the other hand thought it was fantastic.   I did think the drinks were pretty good though.   Thanks for the info!

We went there about the 4th of July and the wait was not long at all it went pretty fast.  St. Paul is the location in MN and it's new, so it will be jammed till the novelty wears off.
