Six Month Post-OP and I'M OVERWEIGHT!

I am officially OVERWEIGHT!!!! 

Went into my post op appt today and heard that wonderful word your "Overweight ". 
I haven't been overweight since..... Grade School,  I was grinning from ear to ear.
 
Then I was asked if I would speak at a SMDC Weight Loss Surgery informational meeting.     I was completely surprised!!!  Speaking in front of a BIG group of people, isn't one of my abilities or an aspiration for that matter.  Needles to say...I will be doing some serious thinking about this request.   Overwall, today was a really great day for me and just wanted to share with all of you.

since the day i met you.. you have been an inspiration. just in the past few months i have seen you transform right before my eyes. you are so beautiful and such a kind soul. erika, you are doing an amazing job and i can't wait to see what the future will bring you. congrats on being overweight and let know if you decide to speak, i will come and watch you in action. i will see you soon!

Congrats!!!   You're doing an amazing job!!   I just knew you were going to do well.   Speaking in front of the group.....now I might shy away from that but wow what an honor to be asked.   I think you should do it!   If you need some emotional support while you do it...I'd be right there with Julianna.   Didn't make it out to pick strawberries darn it....life slips by every time.   My friend from church said she called and yours are all done....boohooo.    Oh well next yr I will make it.   Hope you're doing well in every other aspect as well.   You are looking fabulous!!

What an honor to be asked to speak at the informational meeting.  Are there usually a lot of people at them?  There were fewer than 10 at the one that I went to.  In any case, if you decide to make the presentation, I think that the antendees will be better for it.  I know that from the time that I started to seriously think about the surgery I've been trying to soak up as much information from post-ops as I can.  I had a lot of exposure to people that had the surgery and were NOT following post-op recommendations until I came here.  It would have been nice to have someone at the informational session that was post-op and following recommendations.

Congrats Erika welcome to the overweight club!

First, let me just say thank you to everyone... *****sponded to my post.  I just about cried  because I was so touched by your words and I feel very blessed to have met some of you  OH'ers thru this site or just reading your posts here.
