Happy Two Year Surgiversary to meeeeeeeee
Happy to me!!!!!!!!!!
WoW it was two years ago today that I was on my way and wondering.. will this work for me? Im not lucky enough to have this work .
I prayed to be thin... to be free of fat and sweat... being self concious of my own body and to stand proud. To not feel like a second class citizen but to step up and just be me.
I now have more stamina and muscles and have changed alot in attitude and drive.
I work in a place I would have NEVER worked before... me tuck in a shirt? Nope.... me stand all day and run back and fourth... nope, would get too tired. I work with teenagers that tell me to grow up somtimes LOL.
My relationship with my husband is better because Im a happier person. My kids love that I can do more and Im amazed how laying on the couch was a daily thing for me.
Now I compete in fishing tournaments with my husband... we play golf and walk everynight.
So enough about all that... I just want to thank God for steering me towards this surgery. When I turned forty I knew I couldnt live another ( if I was so lucky) forty years weighing two hundred and sixty three pounds and more.
I dont know why I did so well... all the signs pointed for me not to. I would "diet" then fall back to old habits. This time I went off fear and stubborness knowing that every need for a snack or an extra this or that would pass.. and it does!
What a rollercoaster .... I have sat on this ride each seat filled with you all. You helped during the "click click click" up the hill and threw you hands in the air with me during the corners and loopy loops...

I personally appreciate you and the other people that are a few years post-op that stick around these boards and post regularly. You truly are an inspiration to those of us that are still in that phase of wondering if this will really work and will the end results really be everything that we hoped for?It sounds like you have a life that is really about living and enjoying the things that are really important. Keep up the great work!
