(thinking to myself selfishly...)  Just think how close you'll be to MG Coffee!  And Rose?  You can probably holler out your window to say "HI!" to her!!  She's back in that general area, too!

Question... is there a pool???

Congrats on finding a place.  I say if your gut tells you its the best for you then go with it.  Even though you are on the opposite side fot the Metro area at least you should be able to hop right on 694 or 94 and zip right through!  I second Kelly motion for an apartment housewarming party!

My place is no where near that fancy as yours, but know how excited I was to be here.....

And you will have many more clothes before your journey is done. A LOT MORE CLOTHES.

I am not short... I am fun sized!!

Hey Elena ~

Not to take away from Maple Grove but have you given thought to moving to the eastside of town?  I live in Oakdale and there are several nice complexes around here and in Woodbury.

It would be much closer to work... ;-)  I wish you all the best

I've  thought about  it...but I dont  know the area well and I am trying to stay closer to my mom... who lives in Maple Grove. I do plan to possibly explore that area in years ahead.

I don't want to rain on your parade, but the commute from Maple Grove to Mpls or St. Paul is most often a nightmare during rush hours!  I have a friend how lives out there and I have spent a few nights there and needed to drive to work the next morning.  HORRIBLE!  I would recommend taking a few test drives during your work hours to see how they go.  If you're spending 2+ hours in a car each day sitting in traffic, that's a lot of time wasted.  The bus system from Maple Grove is very nice.

The nice thing is I work 2pm to 11:30pm....so those are not rush hour times thank God. So that's why I'm  thinking it'll be ok. I've lived near there before when i had to drive to the U for school...  that was worse because that was during rush hour. I thnik it should be manageable..

Good for you!  You will get used to the drive.  Use it as your "downtime".  Sounds like everything you were looking for - and more with the fireplace.

Party at your place!  :)
