7/16 Today I will...
Well the week is half way done, thank goodness as I am ready for the weekend already. It is warm and sticky again today, but we are suppossed to be getting lost of t-storms. Hopefully we can all get out and enjoy a little of the weather before it gets too icky out.
Today I will...get in 110-120 ounce of water/CL, go to doctor for ankle/foot, stick to food plan and be mindful of carbs, hopefully go for a walk/run, and get to bed at a decent time.
Yesterday I...get in 100+ ounces of water/CL--yup I think I got in close to 125 ounces, try walking with good shoes on--yup walked close to 2 miles, and ended up with some pain so it is a good thing I have an appointment today, follow meal plan--pay attention to carbs--I did pay attention to carbs, but had to alter meal plan due to not going out, be strong when cancelling date and ending contact with Musa--yes! I have ignored all attempts he has made to contact me, pick up new contact--finally got around to this and now it is in and feels great, and get to bed before midnight--again got to bed at midnight.

Was pretty mindfull, other than the piece of Red Licorice.
I tried running on the road instead of my treadmill, It didn't go so well....I got bad pain in my left hip area and got shin splints...Uhhh, this hasn't happened since I was overweight. WT?
I'll try it again next week......I love the outdoors and hate to walk inside when it's so nice out.

1. Attend my first support group meeting at HCMC (VERY nervous) if my boss will let me out of a meeting early (I'm pretty sure that she will).
2. Drink 2 liters of H2O.
3. Take my Actigall as prescribed. Refill my prescription this evening.
4. Come up with a plan to focus on 1) implementing changes at work, 2) completing resume and beginning job search, and 3) finishing thorough house cleaning before school starts in the fall. These need to be my priorities right now. The rest is just "fluff".
5. Finish taking 1 month measurements.
Yesterday I...
1. Drink 2 liters of H2O. - Yes, was difficult, but accomplished it.
2. Take Actigall as prescribed. - Yes
3. Locate pre-surgery measurements. Take new measurements to compare. - Found pre-surgery measurements this morning and started taking new measurements, but need DH help still. Will finish tonight.
4. Explore Lifetime Fitness again (YMCA just isn't catching my fancy although it is MUCH closer to home). - Looked at Lifetime and decided that the group fitness classes that interest me will not work with my schedule so will not join for now. Will delay the decision about the gyms until their fall group fitness schedules are released.
5. Weigh myself before I start eating or drinking (didn't do this yesterday and it set me off on a fit of tears because it seemed like I had gained weight from the end of last week). - Weighed myself before I ate and my pre-eating weight in the morning is the weight that I need to stick with. It seems once I start eating and drinking water my weight goes up 1-2 pounds (I suppose since I am so big a 1-2 pound difference isn't much). Anyway, as DH says, I am "trending" downward.
6. Get in at least 8-9 hours of work today even though I am working from home. - I got in 4 solid hours of work. Then I was tired. I need to get my energy and stamina back. I've been slacking too much for the past few months.
7. Explore vacation options for next year (DH and I would like to go with my parents on an Alaskan cruisetour, but we've already done an Alaskan cruise so if my parents say they don't want to go to Alaska we have to decide if we want to go to Alaska again or if we want to go someplace else. I was thinking Northern European cruise, but DH wants to stay in the US since the dollar is so weak. The only other US place I would want to revisit is Hawaii, but I don't want to go until I KNOW that I am prepared to hike on lava flows with all of the sulfer smell). - Researched this a little bit, but ran out of time last night. Will continue to research. This will be my fun thing to do.

Jen~Overall it sounds like you are doing really well. I always weight myself right away in the morning just before jumping into the shower and that is then number I stick with. I have randomly weighed myself during the day and there is usually a 1-2 pound difference. I hope that you are able to find a local gym that offres classes you like and that will work with your schedule. I know that when I first started I was going to 2 aqua aerobics classes and since it was a group class and the instructor got to know all of us I felt obligated to go even when I didn't have much energy.

I weigh myself as soon as I get up... walk to the bathroom... pee (gotta get rid of those extra ounces!! lol) and then strip naked and step on the scale. If I miss any part of this I don't both weighing lol it's almost like a ritual now :) and I try to weigh only once a week (Monday mornings)

Don't have tons of time so just a quickie update. Roger has moved out but still comes in the evenings while I'm at work to take care of the dogs. This helps. He is also transporting a dog to the Cities for me and DIDN'T ASK FOR MONEY - yet... we shall see. It's been hard but not impossible to do everything... I can do this!!!

did ok. My steps were down but that was without a walk. I didn't get much water in and sweat like a demon all day so have to be mindful of that. Food was ok but I need to plan for something for when I get home from work. I find myself exhausted and wanting to just graze instead of working to make something good. A crockpot meal would be perfect so will work on finding things to make. Also got my vitamins in.

Thanks Lori! I know I probably pushed it a little much with my ankle yesterday cause I am paying for it today. Hopefully the doc will just tell me to wear a brace/wrap and all will be fine. The water intake seems to be a lot easier when I have the big 1 Liter bottles at my desk, I think because I have to get up less to go fill it. I hope you are able to get yourself hydrated cause today is suppossed to be warm as well. Also I am so glad to hear that Roger is out. You will get used to do everything yourself it will just take a while to get a routine in place. Have a great day!
