OT: Gut Feeling....

Hi Nicole, I totally support your decision to not go further with it.  Those red flags and any initial doubts are excellent indicators of it just not being right, and we all know, what's meant to be, will happen in its own time.  Stay strong, don't let any guy compromise your convictions like I did!  You will be just fine sweetie!  Hugs galore, Patti

Patti~Thank you for your support. I too have compromised my beliefs for someone and have vowed never to do that again. I agree and have offered the whole finding my soulmate up to God, because I know He has a plan and everything will come together when He wants it to.

Hey Nicole, after we talked last night, and I thought about it... ya I have to agree... CANCEL. Our gut feelings about things... be it good or bad, is 99.9% right. We have both ignored our guts in the past....don't do it now.

I think you should cancel also.  It is not good if he is like that already for gosh sakes.  If you go on that date he will more than likely stalk you and things could get pretty bad.  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE  Becareful....... keep us posted.....

Marsha~That is a big reason I am not just going on the date for experience on this one, because my fear was that he might follow me home or get my liscence plate number and track down my address. Luckily the only phone I have is my cell and that is not attached to an address like land lines are. The final decision is I am not going.

I dated a Muslim man for 2 months about 9 years ago.  We ended it when we both realized that neither of us was willing to convert and we both strongly love and believe our faith.  We remained friends for a long time.

That being said, go with your gut feeling.  You have these red flags for a reason.  Don't ignore them.

The difference in faiths is enormous and it's not being predujice to want a man who shares your values and your core beliefs. 

I hope you didn't give him any personal info such as work or home location...

Debi~Thank you for sharing that with me. What my sister said really opened my eyes, because I know one of the thoughts in my mind was that I could bring him to Christianity, however I had forgotten that it is rare/almost unheard of for a man to convert from Muslim to Christian.

I was smart and the only info he has is my cell#, which since I have his number programmed I can ignore.

Go with your gut!  Don't settle on something that is soooo important to you IN ANYTHING!!  THe right guy for you is out there!
