Training paused...Dr's orders
Wow... seems I am off the board for 24 hours and everything happens!!!!!
Nicole, I am sorry for your foot, however, I have to say I admire your dedication... and motivation.... So you can't run, you have found ways to continue towards your goal... good for you!!!!!!
You will do great in your run.....I see you making great accomplishments in many things, not just exercise, as I see your confidance building in leaps and bounds....Not just in your physical, but in yourself...way to go!!!! Many of us could learn from your lead.

Diane~Thank you so much I am doing my best to make the most out of this journey. When I found out I could run or walk I knew that I couldn't just lay around because then I would definitely have problems when I picked up my training so I got creative. Now if I still had my gym membership I could ride bike or do more stremgth training, but I so hate running inside that I'd prefer to save my money and just run outside and do my other stuff at home. I credit a lot of my creativity when it comes to working out to my big sis though since she gave me a lot of good ideas when I started out on this journey and is great to bounce ideas off of.
Nicole,
I agree with Diane, I wasn't able to get online last night and I have a whole page to catch up on.
(((HUGS))) Oh, I'm sure this bum's you out.......But I'll pray for a fast healimg and that by Monday you can start walking/jogging on it again. Geesh......Why do things like this happen?
Take care and rest that foot.........Kelly
Kelly~Thank you! My sister said that this is pretty common and that it happens to even the best athletes that sometimes our tendons just say I have had enough and act out. I just have to make sure and listen to my body and when I feel it starting to happen back off a bit. In the mean time I am sitting here at work with my foot up on the computer tower and an ice pack wrapped around it!
Prayers going up for you for healing and a successful 5K run. Utilize that brother's brain to get some helpful hints for you...
I have to ask - isn't it weird that you MISS running? I actually miss my exercise routine as I have been too busy at work to get to the gym to work out, and it amazes me, considering a year ago, just the thought of ANY kind of exercise wore me out. Keep that foot up and iced and it should be good on Monday - considering all the prayers for it.
