I need luck and prayers......Long......
I need my OH family so bad right now......I need all the prayers I can get.........I've recently been soul searching on what I want to do with my life, my son is starting Kindergarten this Fall, and I was looking into either going back to school or getting a job. I started wondering, "What am I interested in?" Healthcare is one but you need a 4 year degree, and I can't afford that. I have always had an interest in Flight Attending but of course you never see a fat flight attendant. So now that I've lost my weight I'm going to go for it.......
Thanks to Cathy M. for posting on my thread, there is a info meeting a couple times this week, I'm going to the one on Saturday in MG, it's a 4 hour meeting and they make interviews at a later time with ONLY those they are interested in. So it sounds like your either in or out right away. They say to come in business attire, should I wear a dress or skirt?
So please pray for me that if I'm meant to do this it will happen and if not I'll have to re-look at what I want to do......I know God has plans for us, so if it's meant to be it will happen and if not that's okay........I'm so nervous but so excited......I've been online looking at questions and how to impress and answer them. But in the end I have to be ME.......If they don't like ME, well then pooy on them......
I can't be someone I'm not.....I love meeting new people and I've always liked helping people out. My brain is just scrambling.........
Thanks for reading this, and Thank You Cathy M........

Kelly~Congrats this is a big step to take! I will definitely keep you in my thoughts and prayers that things work out for you, if not with the flight attending with whatever you are meant to do! My personal opinion would be to wear a skirt, but maybe post pics of the different outfit options and we can help you pick out which one to wear. I think you would be wise to prepare a resume and reference list to bring with to the seminar, because it is better to be over-prepared rather than having them ask for it and you not having one to give them. Think about your past work experience, have you done any work in the service industry such as hostess or a waitress, those would be good things to highlight because I believe, correct me if I am wrong, that flight attending is similar, only with a rolly cart and up in the air. I hope all goes well for you! Love & Hugs! Nicole
Nicole,
Good idea, I'll put on the outfits tonight and have hubby take pitures, then all of you can tell me what you think, GREAT IDEA, THANKS.
I had to print out their application, they want it filled out complete.....So I'm scrambling to remember dates, etc......
I have had 2 jobs in the past 20 years, one as a machinist from 1995-1998 and the other as a Safety Manager/accts. rec. etc. at a trucking company from 1998-2002. Otherwise I've been a stay at home Mom. So I'm a little thin on experience, which could hurt me........But what's meant to be will be.......
Thanks Nicole, I'll get those pictures on here tonight.
Kelly
Let me give you a little perspective adjustment, Kelly.
You've mostly been a stay-at-home mom for the past 20 years. If THAT isn't a career in SERVING OTHERS, what the devil IS???
You may be thin on work-outside-the-home experience, but the plus side to that is that you are HIGHLY TRAINABLE!!!
Take every doubt and negative thought you have about yourself and your experience, and TURN IT INTO A POSITIVE!!! Then you'll go in there and have a feeling of CONFIDENCE! They'll be much more drawn to you if YOU feel like you're the right person for this job!
I'm so excited for you I could just PEE!!!
Imperfect does not = unsuccessful
Darla,
That's what I love about you......You are postive about everything.....I have to work on this.....
Your right.....I'm trainable.....I told my hubby last night I have plenty of experience in alot of areas, I've been a home cleaner, babysitter, accountant, cook, landscaper, lawn mower, home remodeler, etc.......
Thanks for your support.....Love ya, Kelly
Kelly, you will make a wonderful flight attendant!!! You just seem to have that personality!!!! How exciting going to all different kinds of places and traveling so much.....
I would suggest a skirt and blouse for the meeting. Since its warmer out a suit would be too hot. Try to stay in the lighter spring colors but not flowers or bold colorful. That is not appropiate. They will be judging you on appearence and how you are dressed will portray that part of your professionalism! You are going to do a great job and knock them dead!!!! I am rooting for you!!!

What's not to like Kelly - you're fabulous! Good for you for identifying your dreams and going after them! What fun it would be to get to travel! Good luck and the prayers are with you! Tracy
