Wednesday 7/9 Today I will...

Good Wednesday morning!  WoooHooo the week is half way done!  They are calling for more gorgeous weather today so hopefully we can all get out and enjoy it some.  Today I will....get in 100+ ounces of water, stick to meal plan (new approach to managing food), stay focused at work (I have tons of accounts to work today), call and make an appointment if ankle doesn't feel better by this afternoon, go to coffee then PNC support group tonight and get to bed by/before 11:30 pm.  Yesterday I...get in at least 100 ounces of fluid (CL or water)--yup I think I actually got in around 110 or 120 ounces, run 3.25 miles pushing to make it 9 or 10 minutes without walking--I kicked butt on this one--ran to the 1/2 way point only walked for 1 minute then ran the rest of the way back, keep the carb monster under control--struggling with this (drafted up a meal plan for the rest of the week hoping that if I stick to my meal plans I will do better), do the dishes--yep did this while cooking dinner, and get to bed by 11:00 pm-- I was in bed by 11:45 pm so better than the night before.

Good morning everyone...... Sounds like your doing pretty good Nicole. To fight that carb monster add protein......... Today I will:                         Yesterday I did: Drink 80 oz.                                 Got in around 64 oz. Eat 3 meals, protein 1st                 Did this, and 1 snack, yogurt Be mindfull of what I eat               Yep, I'm doing pretty good Walk/bike 2 times                         I took a bike ride and a walk, it was                                                    beautiful out..... Kelly~I get in lots of protein (about 60 grams which is 16 more than nut originally told me I needed)but I still crave those stinking carbs.  In my meal plan I allow myself a few carbs each day, but limit it much more than what I am currently eating.  I really hope that this will work.  Great job on your exercise and protein intake!

Nicole, Since I was struggling with the carb monster and was hungry all the time my nurse had me up my protein to 80g.  It has worked......I no longer crave carbs and I'm not hungry...... Maybe you could add more protein to kick the carb monster??? Kelly

Thanks Kelly, I will give it a shot!  My meal plans included a lot more protien and a lot less carbs, so hopefully this will work.

Work is interesting.  They still don't know what my actual restrictions are... what a load of crap  lol  I'll just keep plugging away and getting my work done.  They figured I would take at least a week catching up... I was caught up 6 hours into my shift on Monday.  Everyone leaves the goofy stuff for me  *sigh*  But it's ok  :)

I walked yesterday - this weather is fantastic!!

Trying to find a mechanic to help me out with the boat and my lawnmowers...  I need to get on this lawn before I have to call out for someone to HAY it!

Have a wonderful day.  I'm off to take Fiji to the vet to have her cast checked and pay the shelter for fixing 4 dogs yesterday...  Might grab Brie and take off for an hours as well. Today I WILL!

Lori~I hope that you are following your restrictions even though your work doesn't seem to have a clue!  Isn't it funny how sometimes people avoid the easy stuff!  Sounds like you are doing good with your food!  Hopefully you will be able to get out and walk in the evenings at work.  Have a great day!
