Back from Iowa!

I went to my sister's place down in Iowa for this lovely long weekend and had a pretty good time.  It was kind of wierd because my BIL and I sat and talked for quite a whilke both Thursday and last night.  He and I have never really gotten to know one another and now that I am healthier (mentally and physucally) we are getting a chance to know one another.  My sister and I had plans fr a 5 mile walk/run this weekend, but between  running errands and 3 cranky boys we never got around to it.  Tomorrow, however I am going back to a very diligent training since there are only 3 more weeks until my first race and I would like to run it all.  My sister and I went garage saling and I ended up getting a box full of size 12 and 10 pants/shorts and size medium tops.  I tried on a pair of the size 12 shorts, got them buttoned and zipped, but they do not look very good so they will stay in the box for another week or two.  I also picked up a size small pink t-shirt and I tried it on cuz it looked like it might fit and it does!  I can not remember the last time I fit into a size small anything!   I finally broke down and turned on the AC I figured since I was sweating just sitting here at the computer I will have a hard time sleeping.   Well, basck to the grind tomorrow!  I hope everyone had a great 4th of July!

Ya, I had to turn on my air to.....It's cold in my apartment I am wearing a blanket, but can't stand the humidity.

That was me last night at my sister's place!   Yes it was a good weekend, but I am glad that I get to leave and not have to deal with my  nephews at times...I think the hot weather was making them extra cranky! I plan on trying on the 12's on Friday again to see how things are going.  Plus I would LOVE to be able to wear them to my reunion this Saturday!

Welcome back!!!  I missed you on the boards!!!  Sound like you had a wonderful time but are happy to be home.   Good luck with the training -- you should be proud of yourself!!!  How exciting -- only 3 more weeks!!!
