I am getting all the last minute things ready (mostly my crazy head) for surgery. I am excited but scared to death. I am trying to stay positive but don't want to be unrealistic about life after surgery. Just wanted to thank every one on the board for posting your experiences and opinions. It makes it so much easier to understand and relate with others who've been there. So thanks!!

Good Luck --- and get ready for the ride.  Totally norman to go into surgery scared and excited.  You will so happy with the results six months from now you'll wonder why you didn't do it earlier!!!  Life after surgery is great as long as you work WITH the tool..... I'll keep you in my prayers for an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery --- and remember..... Walk, walk, walk Sip, sip, sip Rest, rest, rest Repeat continually......

It's a little scary beforehand, especially getting so close. But once the day comes it'll go so fast that you'll be post-op in no time! I was lucky enough to have my mom and brother there who joke around when things get a little bit tense or awkward, so it really helped me out. Just be prepared, distract yourself today, and you'll be up and truckin as soon as possible :)

Being scared and nervous is totally normal.......I even wrote a letter to my family.......... This WL journey is one I will never forget, the many up's and some down's........When the weight starts falling off it's so amazing............And when you can go into a Normal store to buy clothes it"s such an amazing feeling, I cried my first time........Get ready for the ride of your life........ Please let us know how your doing.......Praying for an uneventful surgery. Remember to walk, sip, walk, sip...........Walking helped me get rid of gas..... Kelly
