Obviously I'd be curious to know if it works. I feel like I'm hungry all the time.  My mom actually has a similar device implanted in her. It's called the Vagus Nerve Stimulator. They implanted it in her right chest and it shocks the vagus nerve every couple of minutes. Hers is used for medication resistant depression. She got it immediately after the FDA approved it, about 2 years ago. It appears to be working for her, though she hasn't been able to stop all of her medicines completely, like she was told.

Interesting. I heard about this. We'll have to wait to see what comes of it.
