I would do this surgery over again 10 times if I had to.  I have been very blessed thus far with no complications, textbook surgery (Dr. Jones' words) and a rather quick recovery.  Maybe that's why I never (and I mean never) experienced "buyer's remorse" post op or any kind of regret.  I was just ready to start my new life and have freedom from the fat that was holding me back.   It is THE best thing I have ever done for myself! I was scared. It took me four years to make the decision to have this surgery. I am SO HAPPY I did it. It's the best thing I have EVER done for myself.  Good luck to you! Lori

Thank you everyone for your replies. I really think this website is going to be of great help for me, since everyone is in the same boat, and from some of the posts I have seen, it seems like everyone on here is a family now.  Thanks again

I agree... if you weren't a little scared.. I would be worried about you.... It would mean you hadn't taken a look at everything that could... and does happen. However... that being said, I to, as all of them on here have... had some complications... the first couple of months were very rough...still has it's moments from time to time...... but would I do it again... in a heartbeat.. I would beat the surgeon to the operating table!!!!!! The benefits and rewards to this surgrey sooo out weigh the complications... The very quality of life you gain is so worth it.

I am not short... I am fun sized!!

Fears are natural!! You will go through the ups and downs but in the end I would do this over 10x.  This surgery saved my life, helped make me the husband that i needed to be and allowed me to live to see my children grow-up!!!!! Troy
