OT: My Date

Glad you had a good time and you looked really cute!!! And at least you are out there and that speaks volumes !!!!   Because I have a very dear friend and a brother-in-law with CP, he may not be interested in those things because his CP keeps him from doing them.  That's why he is a homebody and may not have many friends.  As a man, saying I'm a homebody is better than admitting I can't. If anything, maybe you made a new friend -- he could become your leisure activity buddy!!!  Maybe meet for coffee once in a while and just talk as friends.  I know I love having buddies I can just sit and shoot the bull with at an outdoor coffee shop or restaurant every once in a while. Just an alternative suggestion to you guys getting together again. XXOO

Thanks for the update.... sounds like you made a good choice in meeting him and a good one in deciding it wasnt the right fit for you.

My daughter has CP and I agree with Barb... it limits her with things other kids want to do and she feels embarassed to agree to do things so she declines.  Might be where he was coming from. Good luck and keep us updated.  :)

Nicole, you looked fantastic and it's good to hear that you had a nice time.  It's too bad that he wasn't "the" one, but think how much fun you'll have searching for the one that is.

I really admire you for recognizing what it is you are looking for in a relationship and are willing to take time and seek that out. And, I love what Barb said about the homebody aspect. Thanks Amy!  I was suprised too and my arms didn't look nearly as bad I feared they would.  I brought the sweater with and ended up putting it on about half way through as the air cooled and the sun went down.   It feel really good to be out living and loving life!
