Loyalties

I literally have so much on my plate I don't know where my head is these days...The agency that certified me in video forensics is emploding with a HUGE scandle.  I feel like loyalties are changing as a split is coming.  I'm ready to return my certification.   On Sunday night I am flying to Vegas...not to play but to interview for a position with LVPD (Think the original CSI), so those work loyalties are possibly changing.  Then today I saw Dr. Buchwald.  He asked me if Dr. Lederer knew I was seeing him.  I said no.  So I feel that those loyalties are changing. So anyway, I come back from Vegas late Tuesday night.  Then Wednesday I work all day and then have a concert at Purgatory on Wednesday night, then Early Thursday I am scheduled for both an Endoscopy AND Upper GI Series as per Dr. Buchwald.  I liked meeting him.  He's very professional and listened to everything I had to say.  The biggest problem was having to wait two hours after my scheduled appointment, and because I arrived 45 min early it was quite the wait. So I'm hoping to make it through.  I'd much rather be sitting on a deck overlooking a sunset on a lake.

It sounds like a lot is changing in your life and whie sounds as though your life is a bit crazy right now I have a feeling that when the dust settles you will nost likely be in a much better place.  I wish you luck in your interview and I hope that all goes well with your endoscopy/upper GI.  Just remember that you have to do what is best for you!  Happy travels!

Wow - Paul - you are certainly up to your gills in STUFF right now!   I don't know nuthin' about scandals, but if YOU feel you rightfully earned your certification, I wouldn't return it.  Unless it coming from a messed up agency would reflect poorly on YOU.   I hope the best for you in all the things coming up - the job interview, the assessments with Dr. Buchwald, EVERYTHING!  And I hope to see you at another coffee in the near future for live updates!!!

I am with you Paul....sitting on a deck overlooking a sunset on a lake sounds wonderful....just wonderful. I'm so sorry things are so hectic right now.

Good luck with your interview!!!!  Tell Grisom I said "heh"..... And unless the scandal involves you (ha ha -- you're too honest), don't return your certification -- you earned it!!!!  In my field it was the big scandal with CPA's and all the new laws because of them -- but we all knew it was the higher ups and not the worker bees.  Enron workers still earned their pay -- it was the bosses who were dishonest (thanks to the CPA's).   Let us know how the interview goes !!!!  Have a safe flight!!! Paul, take pride in the interview and know that you are worth it and if you are meant to have that job, you will! You've gone through a lot with work in the past year it seems and so maybe this is the change you need. I think it sounds absolutely interesting as all get out! As for Dr. B. - he's a cool cat. He knows Lederer and was probably one of his teachers at one point, so he maybe wondered if Dr. L referred you to him, or maybe from the standpoint that he'd have Dr. L in the OR with him if you do have a revision to the DS.  He loves to teach! The upper GI and scope are for your benefit as well as his to figure out exactly what's going on so rest assured you're in good hands. Have a safe trip to/from Vegas & keep us updated on all the results!
