Diane, I don't want you to get frustrated reading this again, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be careful!  I know there are a LOT of online romances that turn out perfectly FINE these days, but it throws a warning flag up that he's so anxious to spend the money to come visit so soon.  Just don't let your excitement cloud your sixth sense, okay?  If something about him strikes you as being AT ALL concerning, err on the side of safety, okay?  Keep it public, keep it cool.   I hope it goes WONDERFULLY!!!

Diane....I too want you to be happy but this scares me too.  This seems to be moving too fast......you have to be so careful. We are just thinking about you and concerned for your safety because we care. Something just doesn't quite feel right. I hope you have someone calling and checking in with you every now and then. Please......make sure you have plan B in place. Remember if it seems too good to be true.....many times it isn't. If this works out I am happy for you....we just want you to be safe!!

I think when I make the announcement that he is actually coming... I won't have to worry about "asking" anyone to make phone calls.... I think they will be calling anyway!!!!!! But I will have a few that will know the specifics.

Definately keep us updated. And remember that you can do court record searches online That said, be careful with these guys, I ended up married to a man I met online, and darn it, it is working out really well!!! Trust your gut though, even though it is much smaller, that little six sense part is still there. But if it feels good, the criminal record is clean, and he's as cute in person as he is in pics, woohoo girl, enjoy!

He gave me his birthdate tonight... so when I can afford it.. I will be doing that search....

First of all, I'm really happy to see you SO happy and excited Diane!  :) But I'm going to be a broken record with the other gals too and have to say - PLEASE be careful and take all the advice already given.  Its a red flag to me too that he wants to meet you so quickly. I am sure it's nothing but always error on the side of caution. I believe all will go well....but I will keep eyes and tummy open!!!! LOL....My little voice in my head that usually screams warning signals that previously I ignored..(guess that is why they are such losers.) Is singing high and loud that this is the one.... if I hadn't thought that... I would of never asked him to come here.
