No response = No date
I got the boot from Dr. B.'s schedule and will not have a date given until BCBS responds to my appeal. As of this morning, they have not responded. Technically they have 30 days, it was their 3 day track record that had me believing for a quicker turnaround. Oh well. They've only technically had it for 5 days I think so I can't get too down. Only 25 to go.
Forgive me for taking a break but I need it right now - looking forward to the holiday weekend and hanging out with my family!
We'll catch you all next week.
Enjoy your 4th and remember we live in the Land of the Free because of the Brave!!!
God bless.
(((((AMY))))) I know how frustrating this is! I am sooooooooooo sorry you have to go thru this! My prayers will continue and here's hoping for a quick response and date!
LOVES
Have a good & safe 4th!

Sorry to hear the disappointing news! You've got a great attitude though - just take a break and forget about WLS for a few days and concentrate on you and your family.
Also, not sure if I ever shared this, but I started my WLS journey back in 2003. I was approved by PNC to have the surgery, but kept getting denied by my insurance. I pleaded with my company for 4 years to allow the surgery to be covered under my plan (cuz, ultimately, it's about what the company is willing to let the insurance company cover). Anyway, they did what they could, but "for the good of all employees" wouldn't ever allow it. I was miserable and distrought and convinced I would never have this surgery. Then along came my ANGEL, Chris, who offered to pay for my surgery.
Long story short, I know now that I was not in the right place to have the surgery when I wanted it. Waiting four years allowed me to get to know more about OH and the PNC groups and get the support system I needed in place. Also, by having Chris offer to pay for this surgery for me, made me realize that I was a loveable person that people saw good in and that I deserved to have those types of people in my life and deserved to have the surgery.
At any rate, even though you may not see the reason now - there is a reason why you've been forced to wait this long (I know you know that too). Just remember how sweet it will be when it's finally here. It definitely will be worth the wait.
Just remember, if you want to make God laugh - tell him YOUR plans!
Rest assured HE is watching over you and has the perfect plan for YOU!
Love and hugs!
Tracy
