Happy Monday and last day of June!  Wow, where did the month go?!?  This summer is going by way to quickly!  Well, it is back to work today, although luckily it is a short week!  Well here goes.  Today I will...drink at least 100 ounces of liquid (CL or water), stick to food plan for the day, go to yoga and possibley run/walk depending on how I feel tonight, eat mindfully, get back to recording food in journal (I got away from it this weekend), and get to bed before midnight.  Yesterday I...get in at least 80 ounces, but 100 ounces would be better of water--yup I got in around 90 ounces yesterday, eat meals not snacks--did pretty good at this until later in the evening, exercise--most likely run/walk since I need to get my butt moving so I am ready for the 5K in less than a month--yup! I did 3 miles in 35 minutes doing intervals of 6 min run:1.5 min walk, get the rest of my living room put together (take empty boxes to the trash, put up decorations, vaccuum, and dust), clean the rest of the house (need to get a Swiffer mop for the kitchen & bathroom)--yup got it all done but the mopping, cook & package single servings of meatloaf and pork tenderloin--only did the meatloaf as I decided that I am going to bring the tenderloin to my sisters for the weekend, see what my sister is up to and maybe hang out with her--she was out all day so this was a no go, be patient and not get hopes too high about the guy who asked if I want to go out this week--yup, I reigned myself back in and I am keeping myself here in reality, and get to bed before midnight--yes for once I got to bed by 11:30 pm

Great job on the running Nicole!  That is one of my goals, to be a runner. My family and I had a great weekend camping and with lots of yummy food. I didn't pig out, but ate more than I have been eating to be at my required pre-op weight and just as I feared, yup, I gain a few lbs back! I am kicking my bloated self this morning. I can feel how puffy and "oversalted" I am in my hands and feet today. So, today I will drink at least 80 oz of water in an attempt to "cleans" myself of all the naughty things I ate this weekend. I will stick to my food plan and get those lbs back off...FOR GOOD!  I will go for a walk on my lunch hour today since I work job #2 tonight and will be sitting on my hind end even longer today.  Have a great day everyone!

Good morning my friends!!  Today looks good and Roger found a plug for the boat  lol so we may be able to go out today.  He's being very helpful...  making me nervous.  lol

This is my last week of freedom  :)  I go back on the 7th.  The 4th I go to my best friend's for chicken wings and fireworks!  no drinking that day as I'll also have the baby!  Brie wants to get out and play so it's GRAMMA TIME!  lol

Nicole! 3 miles in 35 minutes... WOW!  that is great!!  I walk a bit over a mile in that time... you be doing laps around this old gal!!

Heidi, I know I have to keep in mind that it's easiest to lose the damn weight ONE TIME!!  It sucks to have to go back and lose the same pounds over and over...  we have all done this in the past!!  I'm as guilty as the next person though but am trying to refrain...  In part, that is why I started this post a month ago  :)  Instead of TRY I'm using WILL.  TRY leaves that option of fail in it whereas WILL doesn't  :)  Just some little mind games  :) Today I WILL: - walk!
    * ouch - drink my liquids (may as well list this honestly!)     * 20oz coffee
    * 20oz coffee
    *18oz CL     * 20oz coffee     * 18oz CL     * 12oz iced tea
- take all of my vitamins     AM: check!
    PM: check!
- track my food and make GOOD choices!!     * Pure Protein bar     * cheddarwurst     * baked beans     * handful of potato chips     * 1/4 cheese quesadilla     * handful of chips and salsa     * green apple     * 1t. SF caramel sauce - find time to relax - either out in the boat or drag my dulcimer out and play Yesterday I: - walk     Yeppers Roger and I walked together while waiting for the kids to get here to go out to dinner.  Getting back to work is really going to help me... we are going out to eat wayyyy too much while I'm off!     Also got my pedometer so put in 9477 steps yesterday.  Shall see how this goes if I can improve on it each day!
- water
* 18oz CL
    * 20oz Dasani
    * 20oz coffee     * 18oz CL     * 20oz coffee     * 18oz CL

- track my food
Tracked it fine but I ate crap.... amazed I lost at all today.  Need to get back on track and make better choices.     * Went to OCB for breakfast and I had 1T scrambled egg with cheese sauce; 1 part of a country fried steak with gravy; tiny piece of watermelon; small piece of raisin bread; an 1/8 of an apple and about  2" of celery rib
    * 1 Kashi cracker for the salt - my blood pressure is messed up today
    * Went to Gordy's for dinner - 1 breaded cod filet, 2 forks of coleslaw; 3 onion rings; a french fry, 2-3 fried cheese curds;  then went next door and had 1 scoop coconut ice cream.     * 1 bag south beach popcorn (90 cal)
- vitamins     AM: check
    PM: check!

Lori~I hope you are able to kick back and relaxe this week since you will be heading back to work next wee--congrats by the way on getting everything worked out!  My run/walk yesterday felt the best yet and I could tell that I am running faster not just by my time but I could actually feel it, it was kind of neat!  I had a gal on the exercise/fitness forum challenge me to run as much of my next couple of workouts as possible because she said that when you get used to taking the walk breaks it becomes hard to tell when you need it and when you are just used to having one.  Wow, you play the dulcimer?!?  I love old "folk" instruments!  That sounds like a very nice relaxing afternoon!

Happy Monday everyone!  I'm super late in posting so I won't even try for today's goals (that's kind of cheating). I'm still really busy at work and I hope to get a lot accomplished before the holiday weekend.  After work I went to the grocery store and bought salmon and shrimp which I hope to try this week.  I have a couple of good recipes and I'm going to try to grill both.  I'm a little nervous that the flakiness of the salmon will bother my throat going down (I don't like the sensation of flaky or stringy things getting stuck in my throat). I'm getting in my 60oz. water which has been my goal for the past couple of days.

My reccomendation for the salmon is to chew, chew, chew until it is like applesauce, this is what we are suppossed to do with all of out food and so it doesn't get stuck.  Hopefully that will help with the consistency issues.  I wish I liked salmon it is suppossed to be so healthy, but it just tastes too fishy for me.

Congrats on the water  :) I love my shrimp ****tail  :)  I buy a pound at the ice case here and just relax and enjoy... takes me about 4 meals... ok I might get 2 while hubby has one  :)  We all love it! The salmon may be best with some sort of sauce... or cold and mixed like tuna salad... good luck with it!  It really is good for you!  I tried some smoked but it's something I will have to revisit.  Too rich for me. *hugs*
