Recipe for Whole Wheat Pancakes (SparksPeople)

I haven't touched a pancake since surgery two years ago next month, though may try this.  However, personally, I would use all whole wheat flour.  Rather than s/f syrup on top, I'd use fresh strawberries and blueberries mixed with a little Splenda.  Will be interesting to see your responses after trying them.  Enjoy!  Hugs, Patti Wheat Pancakes (A healthy, whole grain twist to this traditional breakfast food.) Serves: 4 INGREDIENTS 1 cup whole-wheat flour 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 2 tablespoons sugar 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 1-1/2 to 2 cups skim milk 1 egg DIRECTIONS 1. Mix all ingredients together in large bowl, stirring as little as possible while removing large bumps in mixture. 2. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto hot griddle using a spoon or a ladle, and flip when bubbles appear and the bottom is lightly browned. Continue until batter is used up.
