I got home today about 4pm.  I am really sore.  And on the way home we had to pull over cause I thought I was going to throw up.  I mostly just dry heaved and scared my husband! I am quite impatient and really want to feel better.  I am sipping lots of med cups and walking around as much as I can.  Give me advise to feel better at this point... please?!

Welcome to the Loser's Bench!  Congratulations on an uneventful surgery.  You are doing what you need to do and that is sip sip sip and walk walk walk and rest.  Glad your surgery went well and you will be feeling better in no time.  If you are in pain take your pain meds and try to rest between walking and sipping. I am glad to hear that all went well and you are now recouperating at home.  The healing does get easier after being at home a day or two just remember as Bonnie said sip, sip, sip, walk, walk, walk and rest.  If you are in a lot of pain stay on top of it by taking your pain meds on a regular schedule instead of waiting until the pain gets too bad.  Remember you are starting out like a newborn so be gentle and patient with yourself and healing.

Welcome home. I was really sore for a while it will get better. If you feel nauseated often I would call the DR. and ask for some anti-nausea medication. I had the nausea right after my sugery and lasted while in the hospital until finally they gave me something for it then I was fine.  Try to get lots of rest!! Take care and glad you are home.
God Bless, Angela

CONGRATS on coming to "the other side"!!!  mwuahahaaaa... Seriously, you already identified yourself as an impatient person.  So now, you need to tell yourself to BE PATIENT!!!  You WILL feel better - and better, and better yet!  But your innards just got jumbled up pretty good, so treat yourself with some TLC.  I know I felt pretty lousy for the first 8-10 days or so (mostly gas, but I digress...).  You may even be feeling some regret at this point - but You WILL turn a corner, and before you know it, your pants will fall to your knees and you'll realize - "This is working!!!"   So YAY YOU!!!!

Welcome to the losers bench -- You will feel better soon.   All you can do is walk, sip and rest.  But keep up on the pain meds.  It's not worth waiting for them to kick in rather than just not hurting to begin with.   But really -- it does get better!!! XXOO
