Hello
I have been watching this minnesota forum for about a week now and have noticed how well you all support eachother. That is what i need, a support team. I had gastric bypass surgery 3/6/03 ( 5 years and almost 4 months) ago. I lost fast in the beginning losing 100 lbs in the first 9 months. Than my weight slowly started to slow down, I didn't lose as fast but still lost another 35 lbs over the next year. Than in my 3rd year i slowly started gaining back weight. I have now gained back 45 lbs. I'm tall so people say i dont look as heavy as I am and I should be happy I am still over a 100 lbs lost. I just feel like i have failed but a size 14 is better than a size 28. I'm starting with a whole new attitude. I know i can do this. Some day's are better than others but when i have a bad day i just need to climb back on the wagon the next.

Welcome!! I think it's safe to say we ALL appreciate the "oldies" around here - for the perspective of someone further out, still living the WLS journey. You sound like you have a very healthy attitude about your loss and re-gain. We HAVE to keep in mind where we started, to remind ourselves of how far we've come! Even when some of those pounds find their way back. Anyway, from one "amazon" to another (I'm 5'11"), GLAD TO HAVE YA!!!
Imperfect does not = unsuccessful
Welcome! I think this is a great place for support especially when others just don't get what you are going through. Is it possible to make a follow up appointment with your nutritionist? If so I would reccommend doing so because that might really help you refocus. Congrats on keeping off over 100 pounds for 3 years...we have to remember to celebrate our successes! And yes each day is a new opportunity to climb back on that wagon each time we tumble off! I look forward to seeing you around!
