OT: Lets do a little CAMPING....WoooHooo

Just shooting out a reminder about our group camping trip next month.  I am so excited and I hope you are!! If I recall (Darla help me out if I am wrong) when we did this last year, we combined our meal efforts for Saturday.  Offers and suggestions are welcome.  I know that my campire taters are requested and I would gladly pick up a side of beef to share for din..

WHEN:  Friday July 11 & Saturday July 12th @ Baker Park Reserve on beautiful Lake Independence..!!

We already have our reservations made and I beleive a few others have as well.  They didnt have much left on electric sites, however non-electric was wide open.

Oh I wish I could come.   We're going camping next weekend though.    We go to a place in Wi that has sleeps 64 people and costs us $450 for the weekend.   We end up spending less than $50 a family for the whole weekend.....it also has a big lodge to use with a kitchen.   There's an awesome swimming beach.   Only downfall is there is no showers and only an outhouse but there's running water in the kitchen.   It's awesome...it's like having our own little campground for the weekend.    Might be kind of fun if we could get enough interest to do something like that next summer.    If I was closer I'd drive over for the day that Sat but it's a bit far and I'd want to stay.

Dana, Regardless of where I'm at right now, I'm very much looking forward to this weekend!  I'm planning on doing chicken breasts marinated in this great marinade (Darla and Bailey have had it - and loved it too) for Friday night - so I'll check in when it gets closer to know how much I'll have to bring and what else I should serve with it.   Sherry and I are sharing a site and have room for another tent on our site. So anyone is welcome to stay with us. Can't wait!

Oh I am so glad to hear this..!!  I just hope that we can get Ms Lori to join us too..  We all need some good girlie hugs and chats...!!

ALSO...  I would definately chip in for chicken and could bring something to share for Friday..  Let me know..

This sounds like a lot of fun.  Right now I am not sure if I will be able to make it, but if I can...Tracy, can I plop my tent with you and Sherry? I should know more by mid-week the week of this camping trip.   I LOVE camping and hope I can make it since I missed the one last summer and the one for the festival of lights (or whatever it was called).

I shall plan to make Lori's fabulous breakfast dish Saturday morning!  (Eggs scrambled with bacon, cheese and sliced potatos).  Enough for everyone!  And I can certainly do a big ol' bowl of jello fluffy stuff for dinner some night, or maybe my Tequilaberry's salad?  (Yep, it's WAYY good!!) Also, My family was sharing G22 with Anita, but Anita can't make it - so there's room for another tent at G22!  Tracy, if you & Sherry want to move over, that would be fine! Or anyone else that wants to join up, you can have 2 tents or one tent and one camper per site. YAY!!! 

I am so bummed that Anita isnt able to join in on all the fun..  I would gladly donate up some cut up fruit for the Satuday breakfast meal too..!!

I will see about coming out friday or saturday night for awhile.  Life is just hectic right now.  July is a busy month for us this year.  When is the festival of lights thing?
