Update on Pearl.....

Thank you for the very nice reply. Pearl did have WLS almost 1 year ago. Two months after her RNY surgery she was diagnosed with Lung Cancer. The cancer has spread to her bones and brain. Her sitiation had nothing at all to do with her WLS. I appreciate your asking...I wouldn't want anyone to think it was weight loss related. Hugs....connie d

Oh, Connie! I am so sorry to read about all that Pearl is going through, especially now. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family. I hope she finds peace and joy and an end to her pain. And, thank you for being such a good friend. Pearl is lucky to have you...Take care, Jean

Pearl was one of my biggest cheerleaders back when I first joined the board. It was such a shock to have her disappear like she did back then, and after such a long time, to find out the true reason. She went through so much in the last year, and she deserves to be at peace. It is just so sad that it has to happen now, and not years down the road so we are all able to hear her words of wisdom. For those of you who never met her, it is such a huge loss. For those of us who did know her, we are all blessed! God bless you Pearl, and we'll see you again some day!
