Good afternoon.......... Well my appt. went better than I thought it would......I was totally honest and had kept a food log for the past week.....My nurse said I was being too hard on myself......But that there is room for improvement, and with a few minor adjustments I should be good to go.....Whew..... I feel so much better talking with her....... So if you have been off track at all here's the info I learned: 1. Write down everything that you eat & drink. 2. If your off track, Call or see the nurse, she can give you suggestions and be sooo helpful.  3. Get in your water and protein. Here's my questions and problems and her answers........... 1. Hungry feeling all the time & head hunger? After looking at my food log she feels I'm snacking and eating the wrong foods because I wasn't getting enough Protein. I was at 35-50g. She said at least 60-80g. So instead of yogurt for breakfast that slides she wants me to chew, so 1 egg with 1 cheese, or deli ham with cheese, cottage cheese & fruit, peanut butter on whole wheat crackers, etc. She wants me to get in a good ammount of Protein right away in the morning. She also felt I wasn't chewing my food enough for lunch & dinner, it only was taking me 10-15 min. she wants it to take 20-25 min. 2. How do I stay on track? Get in your Water & Protein, Protein 1st and or eat more protein and forget the rest. Stay below 700 calories, exercise and add weights, mix up your routine. Eat no more than 1/2 cup-3/4 c. She said after 6 months people's proportion size does go up but not to worry, just get in more protein instead of the junk...... 3. I've had no energy for 2 months, why? After I told her I have my period for 15 days she said, Well that could be a good reason.......Also, she stressed eat protein, it does the body good. 4. When can I have Liposuction, or any other kind of plastic surgery? She said at my 1 year appt. they would talk to me about it and give me some Doctors names, not before then.......Usually you have a consultation and then the procedure, so around 15 months out or so. 5. Other than eating wrong lately, why don't I lose weight? I've only lost 10 pounds in the past 2 1/2 months? She said, other than not following the program, I'm close to goal and the weight comes off alot slower, Today I was 150 pounds and 25.4 body weight. She said I still have 6 months of loosing time so not to worry. She feel's I will be at my goal of 130 pounds by my 1 year appt. But she said 140 pounds would be a good weight for me........ 6. I asked how much do I eat to maintain? She said it varies, but usually 1,000 calories, 1 cup of food and still eating protein 1st, and exercising. So bottom line, Protein, Water, Chew, Eat slow, add more protein foods if your snacking or feel hungry, and exercise......... I hope I've helped someone else by posting this. The nurse really gave me good ideas and I feel so much better and am ready to take it up a notch and stick to the program. I really just needed more protein........ Here's my stats:  Start weight- 229  Today 150.5 BMI was- 38.8  Today 25.4 Waist was- 44 3/4  Today 34 Hip's were- 51  Today 39 bicep was- 14.75  Today 11 1/2 She said that's 2 feet taken off my body. WHOOHOO..... Size was- tight 20, and 1x tops Today size 8 and M tops. Life is good, I just need to be mindfull of my Protein intake and no snacking unless it's Protein or SF popscicles.......The weight will drop if my body wants it too, it will be slower since I'm close to goal. Kelly~Thank you so much for posting this!  I am really struggeling too and this is really very helpful.  I have had such a hard time since coming back from vacation and hopefully if these things into play it will help me as well.  I really hope to be able to kick my weightloss back up since I didn't loose anything this week.  The hardest part for me lately has been my love of fruits and veggies and I tend to eat them before my protien and then I get less protien in and its a viscouis circle.  I hope that with these suggestions you are able to get your energy level back up it really stinks not having a lot of energy but knowing you need to be active.  Congrats on all of the weight and inches you have lost that is amazing!  Keep up the good work! ~Nicole

Thanks for sharing what you learned today at your appointment Kelly.  I'm glad you've come out of it with a positive outlook and a fresh mindset.  You've done great so far and I could have told you that 10 pounds in 2 1/2 months was normal when you are this close to goal. I've been losing about a pound a week (4 to 5 pounds a month) since last October. It will come off.  Just keep working the program and take to heart all the good info your nurse gave you. You are doing great!!! :) (((Hugs))) Michelle :)
