I think I have a steri strip stuck in my incision

I think I have a small piece of steri strip stuck in one of my incisions that is closed.  I thought it was a piece of skin and I tried to take it off and I couldn't .  I looked at it closer and it looks like a small piece of steri strip.  My friend who is a chiropractor looked at it and thought it looked irritated.  Has this happened to anyone else? Robyn

I had a stitch that was like that and it came out with time.  I would call and talk to your DR. about that.  Good luck sweets !!!! Hugs Marsh

Nothing to worry about but you should call your doctor. He may want to look at it and give you something so you don't get a worse infection.  Let us know how it turns out.... Hugs, connie d

I have that right now with three of my incision and I am almost 7 weeks out.  The stitch that was sticking out of the biggest incision came out easily.  It was a little irritated and I put antibiotic ointent and a bandaid on it.  I am keeping an eye on it to make sure that it gets better.  The other two incision have the stitch sticking out but they won't come out yet.  Neither of them look irritated.
