Got this one from my sister and man is it good! I love my crockpot so any crockpot recipe to me is a Godsend. Enjoy! 1 lb. ground beef, browned 1 onion, chopped 1 can chili beans 1 - 8 oz. tomato sauce 2 C. water 2 - 14.5 oz. can crushed tomatoes 1 - 4 oz. can diced green chili peppers 1 pkg. taco seasoning Put all ingredients in slow cooker on Low for 6 - 7 hours. Serve each bowl with a dallop of sour cream and crushed taco chips.

Hey Kel, if you do try it, let me know what you thought of it. I've got to be honest. I actually stirred the sour cream into my bowl and made it "creamy". It just tasted better to me that way.

Amy......this sounds soooo good. Thanks for sharing. Dr Glass doesn't want us to eat soup at all. I have chili  sometimes but I have to make it very, very thick.  He says if you can't eat it with a fork it is to thin. I am going to try this and make it thick too. Hope it works. Love  and hugs.....connie d

Great point, Connie, about some surgeons not wanting their patients to have soup. I failed to remember that when I posted. You could definitely eliminate most of the water, but I probably would not make it in the crockpot then. And in lieu of sour cream, use Fage yogurt for even more protein!

This sounds really yummy, but I may replace the ground beef with chicken since I don't do red meat a whole lot.  I have a tiny little crockpot so I may have to cut the recipe in half to fit it in.

Nicole, it's totally adaptable so just put in what you like and go from there, and I totally think you could cut it in half!

Thanks Amy!! I bet this would freeze really well too.  I love to cook anything I can freeze in small containers and take to work with me. Hugs to you my friend, Debi
